Sophie is a Research Associate at Curtin University, working with the ARC Centre for Mine Site Restoration, and Curtin University Behavioural Ecology research group. She has completed a PhD in behavioural and restoration ecology, focusing on how animals respond to habitat restoration following discontinuation of mining activities. Sophie is an avid wildlife photographer, and particularly loves finding and capturing images of Australia’s unique and diverse range of reptile species. Sophie’s research interests include zoology, herpetology, conservation biology, and behavioural ecology.
